![]() Today we have a great update from Duncan Dunco who has been inspired by the work of SDG.... "The month of June was a rather tough one for my neighborhood, our pump that supplies water from the borehole to the blocks malfunctioned and little did we know it would be a whole month of dry taps, water bowsers and buying cart water. We have 80 units within our neighborhood and you can imagine the chaos that would have been if everyone sought water bowsers at their own behest. The first day things were so disorganized and chaotic. I decided to take it upon myself to coordinate this task by noting down which houses needed their tanks filled and also collecting payments for the Bowser companies I contracted. It cost us Ksh. 500 per day for one tank and we did that for a whole month until our pump was fixed. To some extent this water challenge has brought us together as a community and I have decided to serve my community diligently without expecting anything other than the cohesion and love of our neighbors. I have learnt through Tin Roof Society that giving of one's self is a mandatory task that should be taken without hesitation. In deed true wealth lies in giving. Happy Anniversary Tin Roof Society I am proud to be associated with you." Thanks for sharing this Dunco...we're grateful for your support :)
